Went fishing today!
I finally couldn't stand it anymore. Winter has taken its toll, the
weather was up to 45, and I had just tied up a half dozen new #14 olive nymphs. We got out to the river (year round fishing allowed) and trudged through 3 feet of miserable snow to cast into high rushing water, in spots which we had no confidence. Balancing on ice chunks, grumbling about snow in my boots. We fished for about 45 minutes.... but it was sweet. Theres a dollar riding on the first trout of the season. I cant wait for spring to officially warm things up in Maine. |

My browser home page has the weather for here, at home, and 4 towns near my favorite fishing holes. About this time each Spring, as I start to ache to get out of Arnoldland ..... the page becomes a real help for maintaining patience. When I see that it's to be 72 here in Oakdale but down to 10 in Ashton, I find fishing the local river, or, hell, mowing my lawn, .. a lot more inviting G Glad you got out, cabin fever sucks Larry L |
