Yep, one more...ironically, a eerily clairvoyant foreshadowing of the
amount of votes for POTUS he'll get above your own spectacular
total...and coincidentally, his running will have the effect on things
as you running...the only support he'll get is from nuts, loons, and
screwballs who weren't voting for any of the main players anyway...you
know, Ron Paul supporters...

Barr could do to McCain what Nader did to Gore in 2000.

His positions will appeal to many right-leaning independents who would
never vote for Obama:

- anti-Iraq war
- deficit hawk
- illegal immigration hawk (where McCain has some 'splaining to do)
- pro civil rights (in the broadest sense -- FISA wiretapping, etc.)

If the race between Obama and McCain is as close as you're saying it is
you should be worried about this.

Man, this is politics - it _could_ come out that McCain is actually
black, a Crip, and is the real voice of the lip-synching 50 Cent and
that Obama is really a sheet-cutter who thinks abortion should be a
capital offense, the ACLU is full got-dammed socialist commies, and even
violent felons should be allowed to own heavy machine guns, high-order
explosives, and DU ammunition...I mean, it COULD happen...and I think
those are more likely than Barr having much effect on the election as it
appears today.

His positions will appeal to many right-leaning independents who would
never vote for Obama:

Even if he were to have minimal effect, Nader will cancel it out and
then some. If this were 30-plus years ago and some Wallace-esque
redneck third-rail were running, THAT might hurt McCain, but it isn't
and there isn't. The third rail position is already filled, by Nader,
and if he has any effect, it'll be on Obama (but even there, I don't
think he'll have anywhere the effect he did on Gore).

And I don't give a damn what various mass-media polls say - forget the
popular vote, look at the actual election of the Prez (the EC) and try
to figure how it'll break... anyone who makes claims of certainties does
nothing more demonstrate that their lack of knowledge is the surest
certainty...

Well now, THERE'S a radical new perspective.....and so eloquently stated
too!

O.k., even *I* realize that a momentous philosophical milestone like this is
worth a great deal more time and consideration than I've been able to devote
to it thus far.....and I promise to do my best as leisure to examine it in
detail presents itself. In the meantime, all I've come up with is a mild
headache and some troubling questions about how the application of this
pearl of wisdom affects the advisability of placing large bets on the
outcome of an election some six months or so in advance of the polling. Can
you help me out here.......dicklet?

Seriously.

Wolfgang

Obama should be worried about Hillary's faithful voting for McCain.
Could happen. Word is out that is what some are planning.

It will be a very hard time the next four years regardless who is in
the Whitehouse.

We read:
"His candidacy throws a wild card into the White House race . . . "

We can take it that he kept the wild card in his hat until
he threw it into the ring . . .

Not so much a nail as maybe a small brad. I don't see this as likely to
make any significant difference like Perot or Nader. Who the hell is Bob
Barr anyway?
