Yah know you live in Nebraska when...

Ya know you live in Nebraska when you spend your evening clearing the
3-car garage so you can fit 4 cars and a farm tractor in there to
avoid hail damage. I did it, but it took some straps attached to axle
of one car and the pintle of the tractor to pull the car parallel to
the back wall of the garage. Of course, after all was said and done,
we got 1.3" of rain with a 62mph gust (the airport is about 2 miles
south of my house). No damage at my house save the frayed nerves of my
14 lb vicious attack dog. He lifted his leg to do his business and got
blown over by a gust of wind.
Cheers from the great mid-West!

You know you live in Nebraska when the cheerleaders eat corn cobs from
a trough.

8) - (It's a joke see...)

Go Buffs!

OBROFF: In the old days we'd lubricate our ferrules from the oil on
the side of our noses. Anglers in the pubs later would have black
streaks on their faces and you'd not think twice. They later found
that acids on our skin is corrosive and was not such a good idea.

OBROFF: In the old days, fishermen would get lubricated. They still
do.

Um, some might suggest that you live in Nebraska when you have a tractor
with a pintle...and drag cars sideways with it...

Glad to hear there was no damage...and that your house was unscathed,
too...

Well, this weekend hand-digging 180 feet of trench, strung 180 feet of
fence and filled it all back in. Right now, I can barely move.
Wonder if the boss would mind if I started liquid muscle relaxer
therapy at say, oh.. 8 a.m?
