The best thing to get for Xmas is Peace on Earth, Goodwill Toward Men,
Health, Happiness, yadda, yadda, yadda, all that sappy and, dare I
say it, maudlin sentiment.

But really, sappy **** aside, what's the coolest thing under your tree ?

At $179.00, I guess only the ELITE could have afforded to grind their coffee
electrically, back in 1936.

:-) , yeah, I suppose it is. But the new one's for coffee, it's
the old one that gets to live on the tying bench. And besides,
the point of a gift is to get someone something they wouldn't
get for themselves.

I also got the 12" moulding puller, it's cool too, but it's
not near as nice a "gift", even if is quite a bit more practical.
I've refurbished 12 of the 32 antique double-hung windows in this
old house. This "gift" is a not so subtle hint to get to work on
the other 20. ;-)

Nice (obroff) "haul". g I got some accessories for the Nikon D100 I

Don't tell Warren about the GPS. He was going to take use to this secret
fishing spot that he said we would never be able to find again based on the
route he would use. Without thinking, I mentioned my GPS. Mistake! He never
took us to the spot.

Got a Dyna King Barracuda and a rod blank to build "The Rod". A friend has
previously given me a Very nice Bellinger reel seat. Most of all got a period
of "No Problems" for family and close friends.

This Christmas also falls five days before my 25th wedding aniversary. My
bride outdid herself

A five weight Winston Quadrate Boo and A Hardy 1902 Wide Perfect Reel.

What really makes it special to me is that she did it with no input or hints
from me.

I think I'll keep her around for another 25+ years.
