Lee's Ferry

First trip through area, we camped at the government campground. F'n wind.
Did I mention the wind. Rain also. Talked to a guide as she came in for
the evening. Natalie Jensen of Lee's Ferry anglers. Got her card and she
said was not fully booked. So figured on the return from Canyon de Chelly
to take a day and fish Lee's Ferry. Other couple with us are not fish
people. So called from Flagstaff on return trip. No guides available for 2
days. So did not fish the river. Could have fished the walk in area, but
decided was not worth the trip back to LF for that. Stayed in June Lake
last Friday night, and figured I might get in fishing Rush creek. To COLD.
The water faucet in the camper dribbled water in the morning. Was ice along
the hose to the camper. Snowed in the morning before we got there, and
coming in from Mono Lake and Benton watched some fantastic snow showers on
Mammoth mountain. Packed up and left. Over Tioga Pass, which was closed on
Friday because of falling snow. Decided to take a side trip and have lunch
in Yosemite Valley. Falls were in full flow. Did stop at Don Pedro lake to
fish Moccasin Creek. No trout caught or seen. Did get one bass about 1.5#
in the main lake from the shore.
