Fishing a Buddy's Pond

A friend of mine invited me up this week after work for an evening of
fishing. He has a pond that is about 5 acres stocked with catfish,
bass, and panfish. I had not fished like that for quite some time and
it was a lot of fun.

I fished it for awhile with a rubber worm and landed some decent
bass. Then I switched to a Mepps and picked up some decent bluegill.
After that I got out my 5 wt fly rod, put on a #10 black beadhead
wooly bugger and got several small bass, but they were a great time on
that tackle. We finished up enjoying some beverages and sitting on
the bank fishing crawlers for catfish. We threw everything back but
three of the bigger cats (5 lb range).

I was tired as heck going to work Friday morning, but knowing I had a
three day weekend upcoming and having had such a great time made it
well worth it. It was the first time I had fished north of I-70 in
Missouri (hundreds if not thousands south of there) I realized later.

It sounds like that you have spend such a great time with your friend while fishing in his pond. According to me fishing is a good habit. I am also very big fan of fishing. I am doing it in the river near my house. It is a very interesting.
