Floating Down My Golden River
Went muskie fishing yesterday with my son Mason. No fish, just a
couple of swirls. But it was a very pleasant afternoon floating on the river. The first part of the float was through the lower pastures of my folk's old farm. I pretty much grew up on the stretch we floated. Lots more development than there was 30 years ago, but lots of the old holes looked just the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULyOJqyFtOE hth Geo. One of the problems with this time of year is the short days. We didn't really have time to slow down and fish the way you'd like until we were sure we'd make the pull out before dark. But I got to regale my kid with the various misadventures I had had as a kid on that river, including a couple ghost stories that got his attention. Geo.C. |
