Rockies, and North. Your post should flush em out. Dave |

There didn't seem to be much interest in the hike in. Last I heard Jaarmo wanted to rent an RV and move around rather than spend much time in any one spot. At any rate the cost is $125 a head for a drop camp. -- Ken Fortenberry |

JR What's the latest on showing our Scandahoovian friends the Big Sky? Sorry for not replying earlier, but a few RL issues intervened (swine flu, kitchen renovation). As a group of travelling fishermen we are on hold, waiting for a confirmation on whether or not my friend is able to fertilize his wife before February. I think that my friends will succeed in his endeavour - given his proven track record - which means that the potential Finnish party would shrink to size 1. Therefore I have decided to decide ASAP whether I will come there on my own (with our Swedish neighbours, of course). I had actually decided to make this decision a few weeks ago, but like I wrote above, natural forces swung me around for a while. The decision to go solo frees me from the earlier time constraints: I am able to take the trip any time between, say, 30.6.-5.8. This also rules out the RV option, unless the Swedes would like to take part in renting a motorhome. In any case I *will* make a long road trip next summer. If I am going on my own, the competing options are 1. the Western clave 2. northern Sweden / Norway, with focus on I. small streams and II. sea trout 3. SE British Columbia / Alberta Option #2 has been on my mind for a long time. I must also say that I have read and *very* positive things about option #3. I will post my final decision on this by 20.12. If you are going to have the clave anyway, my decision deadline will not slow you down: since my timetable is flexible, you can just decide on the dates and the location, and by 20.12. I will tell you whether or not I will join. Now it is time to do some serious Christmas shopping. -- Jarmo Hurri Remove all garbage from header email address when replying, or just use . |

Well, o.k., I confess that I too live somewhere or other and wouldn't mind too much being forced to fish with someone or other in some place or other at one time or another if I wasn't doing something or other at that or another time in that or some other place, with or without someone else or other.....or not. giles who is looking forward to it with something or other approaching much less than absolute loathing......or maybe not. |
