What the hell ? The long-awaited iPad Apple Tablet was
unveiled today in Frisco. There was a lot of speculation
about which carrier Apple would choose, AT&T or Verizon.
The answer: neither. Huh ?

I don't get it. There is absolutely no embedded 3G at all ?
This is beyond weird.

Color me disappointed, and I'm the kind of nerdy dweeb who
*lives* to buy new Apple gadgets.

OK, so I'm trying to follow this in real time.

Apparently the 3G version is 30 days away.

Whew. I mean, I don't really *like* waiting 30 days but
at least its coming.

maybe I'm neither nerdy, nor dweebish enough, but explain why the **** I
would even wish to pay 5-600 bucks for that thing. Whee! I can read a book
on it, and interactively at that. What a great leap forward for literacy in
an ever-dumbed-down populace. Just great!
