OT Ping the Pirate
 
....meant to include this in the last post Dave...

LCDR Robert Church officially retired from active duty with the US Navy on
1 April, ceremony was held at 10 AM on the US Coast Guard Training
Facility, Petaluma, CA. He and family are on their way to Pace, FL to move
into their new home very near Eglin AFB. Now I have a place to spend the
winter. :-)

Indeed. In fact all 3 of my children have succeeded beyond my wildest
expectations, and they all live in Florida. So what am I doing up here in
cold country? (can't take the heat, that's what)

It got into the 80s yesterday here on the mountain. Too high for me.
Today is nice and cool with a gentle breeze. Open windows and overhead
fans work to cool the place down.
