And, of course, it's all true, accurate, up to date, irrefutably documented, notarized, attested, adequately deposed, sworn to, witnessed, tried and convicted.....right? giles who once worked in a federal prison which contained, among 2300 or so inmates, exactly ONE confessed professional bank robber.......that's a whole lot of innocence in a very nasty environment........much like ROFF. |

Teton Valley Lodge is where I learned to fly fish and I guided there one summer. My mother was very close to Alma Kunz, the original owner of the lodge, and was the cook at the lodge at least one summer. Russell |

Fred True enough. All it takes is a single photo of some people fishing, an unsubstantiated allegation of evil-doing, and a couple more unrelated pictures to set someone off on a righteous campaign to defame a lodge and its clients. Everyone piles on. No one asks questions. Idiot. giles |

Russell As I said, draw your own conclusions, Russell Two ( might be three ) years ago, before the general season opened, I saw a similar rig in that same location, around Ora, but I did NOT see this one. I reported what I saw in Ashton at HFF because I didn't know what real authorities to contact or how. The fact that it seems to be happening again is one reason I got mad. One person received this reply when he contacted them, "Yes, we had a boat put in at Ora yesterday. It was a simple mistake and they took out immediately. There was no malicious intent, just a mistake." Let's assume that is true, still leaves the question of paying $400 or 500 dollars to a "guide" that doesn't even know the laws where he's "guiding." We speak loudly when we speak with our wallets ... that outfit won't see any of my money. |

Ugh. Having worked running commercial whitewater trips for over a decade, I'm very familiar with the tone of the local 'Blowhard Outfitter' who equates the arrogance of laughing off bad press with elitism. This post got me interested, so I've spent some time reading up on TVL...seems like they tend to **** off everyone near them, and have for awhile. Reminds me of a departed roffian..... --riverman |
