Green Fork of the Toutle River

Years ago, when I lived nearby, I fly fished for (and once in a blue
moon caught) steelhead in this lovely river.

When St. Helen's blew, it filled the river with mud, silt, and
debris. By the time I had left, it was a dead, nothing place.

Passed through the area yesterday. Stopped at the WA state run
visitor center and asked about the river. The blondes there had to
look at a map to see there was such a place.

So........for those who live in the area......

Is the Green fishable again? Does it get a run?

Thanx

oz, sitting in a Sears lot in Abderdeen, waiting for SO to buy a
pantsuit for wear on the "wet side" of the state.

Geez. Women! If they didn't have orifices for receiving your
bounteous offerings they'd be thoroughly useless.....ainna?

g.

Sorry I didn't pick up on your inquiry sooner; ive been out in E. Wa.,
working on trees, property lines, etc and am mostly not net-able.

Ive never fished the Green fork and frankly have not been back to the
Toutle since St Helens erupted. Did see this site via Google and the
Green is a teaser all right.

The flowers on the Palouse and the high desert steppe are incredible
this year.

Its "Aberdeen," I could understand Hoquim maybe, but "Abderdeen," (?)
come on. ;-))
