fishing gain in my life."

Although I still haven't read or even seen it, it's probably like most
stuff out there. Fly fishing has been around for a considerable amount
of time and with the increase in popularity in the sport and the
corresponding increase in books in the area, there really isn't much new
to write about. There have been some minor changes and "advances" but
few of these offer enough material for a book. The essence of fly
fishing remains the same.

What made me bring it up is that on the San Juan discussion group, the
book is highly praised.

Dude, the book contains recipes for about 250 midge larvae, with exactly 3
different designs! Only variations are in body materials. When someone proves
to me the necessity of having to match segmentation patterns or colors on a
size 24 pale olive midge, I will rethink my opinion of this text. Perhaps a
Westerner will win the Raffle copy at Penn's.

Obviously, none of that matters a bit, Willi. What's really important is
whether "this book" is a novel, a novella, or a memoir. Please repost your
comments with the appropriate designation of said work of literature. And do
try to keep up.

Bull****. It has recipes, which is all that matters.

Well no, not quite all. Are they one and only original AUTHENTIC recipes?
THAT'S what matters.

What REALLY matters is whether someone's going to make it into a movie.
Then we can safely be snobbish about it.

No, it only matters if the movie is popular.

Speaking of which, for reasons that escape me entirely, I find myself
hosting a Superbowl party today. Does anybody know who's playing?

Yeah. It's the Brady Bunch from New York or New Jersey or some other New
Somewhere up in Damned Yankee Land vs. the Mayberry Mob from one, or maybe
both, of the Carolinas. They're not saying.

There's supposed to be some "surprise" guest at halftime. Someone guessed
that it's the Shrublet with bin Laden on a leash. It's been a few weeks
since the Whore of Houston has popped out of a cake for a photo-op.

Speaking of which, an acquaintance is starting the "bin Laden" pool. Ya pays
your dime and you pick which week between March 1 and the November election
that binny boy is trotted out to the media. I've got the last week of
August.
