Biosonix Unit?
 

Just read in the June Bass Times that Kenyon Hill credited his 4th place finish
in the Arkansas Elite 50 to running a Biosonix unit while fishing. This thing
plays a recording of underwater fish-feeding sounds.

Anybody bought one? Anybody planning on buying one?

Is that considered legal? I mean if an angler is only allowed to use one rod
and lure at a time ,would not this thing be considered a lure? Just a
thought!

BASS did not disqualify him. But they have not disqualified others for breaking
rules, too.

Even if it is legal, it is pretty darn non-sporting. Why not try dynamite?

I wonder if the same thing was said when electronic depth finders were first
started to be used in bass tournaments.

I remember back in the early 70's there was a movement to ban the plastic
worm as well as depthfinders in Minnesota. Then when the Shad Rap came out
they were in such short supply bait shops actually rented them out by the
day. No joke! Joe Z.

Just for the record, Joe, that was Rapala's original Floating Minnow, and I
know for a fact (first hand) that in the big Missouri Ozark lakes, $50 a day
rental with a $50 deposit against loss was not uncommon. This took place
long before the birth of the Shadrap.

BTW, that $100 bucks was well worth it (lost mine on a breakoff)!
