Healing Waters

The the past few years, Aldro French, owner of Rapid River Fly Fishing
sponsors Project Healing Waters. Aldro owns Forest Lodge made famouse
by Louise Dickinson Rich's book "We Took to the Woods." This year 8
handicapped vets from Vietnam and Iraq met at Forest Lodge and fished
the famous Rapid River.

In the video Aldro can be seen sitting on a bench. He's the one with
long flowing white hair. He usually has a stogi in his fingers or
mouth. The first scene with guys in a boat is at First Current by the
Island. The second scene is the Pond in the River.

This is a great thing that goes on at the Rapid every year in late
July. Go here for more info on Project Healing Waters.

Great job. Our club has started a Healing Waters chapter here in
Nebraska. Great program. A couple of these vets have gone on to be
guides.

Water represents soma, the nourishing, cooling quality that is associated with lunar energy. It helps with digestion, cools and balances supports Kapha, and counteracts the dryness of Vita. I have checked all of that link and it looks like you have done a great job on it. Thanks a lot for sharing it with us.
