OT to Louie...

If you haven't left for Maine yet, I had to cancel out again this year as
this friggin shoulder is very slow to heal. Physical therapy to continue
until 23 Sep at which time I do it at home until sick of the excersizes.
Dave Bottom reports his last time out on the Androscoggin the water was
really low and he netted two chubs, no bass. That report alone would've
stopped me from coming up. Have a good time up north, maybe I'll make it up
next year.

Hey, get better, Frank. Is there anything they can do for the
shoulder? Mine has bothered me for years and I got a shot of corisone
a couple of years ago. It helped alot.

We leave in the morning for Lakewood. It is very cool up there and the
flow is only 400 cfs. Should be good fishing. The Andy is *very* low
because of the low flow out of Middle Dam all summer.

I'm headed for a hip replacement in early December. Will have to come
back from Georgia for a couple of months, but it has to be done.

You take care of yourself, ya old fart, and plan on those brookies and
landlocks next year.

Dave

My bone mechanic did an arthroscopy in July and cleaned out the ball/socket
joint. This is the healing process ongoing now. Yep, I've had cortisone
shots on that shoulder for years and decided to do something about it
finally, this too shall pass. Have fun up north and good luck with your hip
replacement.

Heh, heh, heh. Just wait, youngster. The aches and pains are just
around the corner, evidence of a misspent youth of drinking, smoking,
and chasing bad women, while spending too many days without sleep.

Well, one young woman is responsible for mine. No joking...back when I
was 19, in college, and doing the horizontal bop with some young co-
ed. I won't go into details, but just mention that a moment of
'experimental positioning' has led to a lifetime of caution and
painkillers. I always tell folks who ask how I got it that it was from
too many years sleeping on the ground while camping, but the truth is
much more salient. LOL

(who'se other aches and pains are much more boring)
