At the risk of replying two weeks late, the Hatch Reel is a solid reel
that, in my opinion, is a good as any reel I own including my Abels
and Tibors.

I bought the Hatch seven, primarily as a steelhead reel because of the
sealed drag but it got its first use a few weeks ago in the Gulf of
Mexico for Reds. I am very pleased with mine.
