So where can I get a penguin skin?

Anyone use penguin feathers in their fly tying effort? Seems they
might float well.

Very difficult, not cheap but not impossible to obtain. The available
ones are of the Meilda de Toro variety, and boy do they float. I am
certain someone could sell you a gob or two of "bird fur" to try out
but expect no discounts. By the way, some users swear that that green
sheen is easy to lick off. Good luck.

Very perceptive. You must be a very serious tyer. It is expensive, and
difficult but not impossibe to obtain. The preferred variety is
Mierdadetoro, and you are right; it sure does float. You probably
already know that that green sheen can be licked off to allow the
really sophisticated tyer to experience the full fish catching
potential of this material. Good luck to you sir.

Thanks Dave. I tie alot but never quite tie to the level of "The
Masters". Pretty much a feathers & fur tier. Some even catch fish!!!
