For the past several years there has been a great deal of concern over
the possibility that these fish will find their way into Lake
Michigan. Last I heard, they had not yet made it.

But they will.

One more item in the long and sad litany of invasive species run amok.

Well, at least this one is edible.....and a hundred pound carp removed
from the water represents a significant biomass (in the form of algae)
removed from many a body of water that can use the help. Not
precisely good news.....but it could be (and almost always is) worse.
