TR yeah, believe it or not
I had some issues to deal with and have not much more than read this group
for a year or two. God knows I haven't been fishing for at least that long. I don't really feel like elaborating so I will just make it short and sweet.... Been talking....been watching....been looking at the water here in the Philippines....and I have realized river fishing is not going to be so much fun. It can be done, it can be productive, but I am living where people do sustenance fishing with dynamite.... Been reading the tide tables....studying the charts...spending hours on the dock of the bay Percy Sledge sang about and studying the water.... I was ready... Packed the bike (anyone want to see pictures of a full dressed Honda 150 cc?) Loaded up the food, hammock, five tabs of Viagra and a pretty young Filipina and went for it! I was surprised....I had remembered to grease my reels and dress my line before I put them in storage. I remembered my knots, was able to make good choices regarding fly selection and waded on out into the incoming tide and started casting. A little rusty for sure on those long hauls but I was out into the bay fishing like a mad man. .....and then I felt it. Oh we all have...you know when things are right...you are in the groove...it is something you can feel in your loins. A warm feeling that grows hotter and hotter and then you have THE epiphany...you left your cell phone in the pants pocket of your cargo shorts..... john |
