I need a good site for Rod Research

Thanks to Vince, Bob, and Tim J regarding the HCH-D Line question.

I am still intrigued with the origin of this rod and company. Would or can
someone suggest a site or offer information regarding the Actionrod series
from Orchard Industries of Hastings, Michigan?

Thanks!

Al

It looks like the Actionrod, or sometimes Action-Rod, covered a lot of ground
for Orchard Industries. I found some bamboo and fiberglass fly rods, as well as
spinning rods, all labeled "Action-Rod" from Orchard. Depending on the rod, the
value seems to go between $100 and $450 if in excellent condition.

Google "actionrod orchard industries" and "action rod orchard industries" to
follow a bunch of links.

Happy Easter, y'all!

I saw an Actionrod casting rod on eBay for thirteen bucks. I seem to remember
that brand from the fifties....think it was sold by mass market hardware and
sporting goods stores like Western Auto and Aubuchon alongside H-I and Wright &
McGill.

Happy Easter to you and all roffians as well.
