Sanibel Island
 

Hello All,

I'll be on Sanibel the second or third week in June. I'm looking for
recommendations on guides. My wife doesn't fly fish, so a "flies-only"
guy won't work, but I'd like to find someone who has more than a
passing acquaintence with fly fishing. Any other info (tips, what to
for sure bring, etc.) would be most appreciated.

I've fished with Dave Eimers out of Marco Island. He does the 10,000
Islands, and is a "mixed mode" fisherman. Check him out at
www.fishmarco.com He has a couple great links to local fishing info,
answering lots of questions about the fish, the time of year, and the
flies. Also check out Swisher and Richards book "Backcountry
Flyfishing" I found it fascinating.
