Simms Waders (pls read)
 

Hi,

Today i've bought a pair of Simms Lightweight Stockingfoots. They seem as
being made of good quality goods. But today I also read, in an advert for
the same waders, that the Simms Lightweight Stockingfoots were the lightest
goretex waders on the market blabla bla, and "were best suitable for
fishermen/women who only fish a week or two a year" ?!?!?! Has anyone used
these waders, and should I return them, and buy another model? Maybe from a
different vendor even?

The waders cost 3000 danish kroner here in Denmark, that's more than 400$ US
dollars. At that price, I'd expect something different(more), than "one or
two weeks a year".

You've purchased waders from the lower end of the Simms line. I think the

*Gees*.... Why do I live in DK?!?!?... The prices in the US, are way more to
my kinda likings. :o) I could get the G3 for the same price as the LS...


Well.... i still think that waders priced as Simms, should be able to handle
more usage than "one or two weeks" per year.

I'm not sure where the "one or two weeks a year" info came from, but I'm on my
second year with my Freestones with no problems. I usually fish two or three
times a week through the entire season, which is about 70 times a year.

AAMOF, I'm off to try them out again today for a few hours at the "secret spot"
on the Swift, if anyone wants to join me. 65 degrees and sunny, no wind (for a
pleasant change), and fish calling my name. There should be some hatch activity
going on. . . See ya!

Ok. Thank you. Maybe I should trust the written words less, and just get my
arse out and fish instead. :o) If the freestone model is working on its 2nd
season for you, the LS should also work for me. Anyway. Simms states that
they have lifetime warranty on all their waders, so if **** happens, they'll
be the first to know, hehe.

LOL .... in my eyes it is :o)

Well, I dont drink or smoke(neither cigg's or dope), but if I could go
fishing every day, end someone else would pay my bills, I would in a
heartbeat. :o)
