Fly line recommentials
Hi Osmo,
in Holland the company "Elberse International" ( www.elbi.nl ) organizes "road shows" . On such events you can test all sorts of different RIO lines. ( Also on your own rod ). I did it too and it really amazed me how different lines throw completely different on one and the same rod. Maybe there are some shops in Finland that can offer you the same kind of service. Try a #5 DT, and use progressively more line until you find the "sweet spot". This should be somewher about 60 feet of line. If the rod still feels slow, go down a line size, and try again. Many people have problems trying to cast slow rods, even with the right weight. Completely different timing and power application is required. TL MC |

If your rod is rated for a #5 line and is is "rather slow" it should be fine
with a WF5F or even a WF4F. You can try a WF4F and a WF6F on it to see how it feels. We try to get people to cast rods before they buy them so they can get something that matches their casting 'style/speed'. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA Web site: www.kiene.com "Osmo Jauhiainen" wrote in message ... We have tested this Vision Extreme Distance #5 line with my son's Loop Blueline #5 rod and it seems to work better obviously because this rod has faster action. OsmoJ |

Visiting some bigger city might help to find such kind of service. Jarmo, do you know such shops for instance at Helsinki area? OsmoJ |

Seems to work much better than my previous WF5F line. OsmoJ |
