I donated to PETA
Swiped from rec.hunting. Thought it was hilarious My wife and I came in from turkey hunting the other morning, and while the coffee was brewing she started sorting the junk out of the mail. When she made a disgusted sound and dropped an envelope in the trash, I glanced in and found it was from our good friends at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. (We assume they got my wife's name from a horse magazine she subscribes to.) Seems PETA wanted a donation. As a dedicated sportsman, I am of course quite in favor of the ethical treatment of animals, so I put together a very nice little donation and filled PETA's 1st Class Postage-guaranteed return envelope about as full as I could get it. My donation included: a photograph of me posing with a nice whitetail buck I killed ethically with my bow; a bronze-colored back-feather from the turkey my wife had ethically killed that very morning; a recipe for the ethical grilling of venison backstrap; and just in case someone at PETA wants to load their own ammo so they can also treat an animal ethically themselves, a zip-lock baggie containing about 3-4 oz. of lead #6 shot. Gosh, it sure feels good to contribute to such a worthy cause. |

I like this approach. I've informed them via e-mail that every time I am
accosted by one of their members or see them on TV in some action I will purchase veal and cook and eat it in their honor. They haven't responded. -- Stev Lenon 91B20 '68-'69 Drowning flies to Dark Star http://web.tampabay.rr.com/stevglo/i...age92kword.htm |

I too have donated to PETA, I have so far donated three times to the
GOP nationial committee the same way. Just to be suret they didn't send those 8x10 glossys out to someone else I altered them slightly. I have also returned some literatrue to the NRA, Shrub is more of threat to our rights than any Democrat. Allen Epps wrote in message . .. Swiped from rec.hunting. With the upcoming mass layoffs of Team Lance, I imagine most Americans are going to start sending their mail via the Belgian Postal Service or the Italian Postal Service. |

PETA?
Oh, you surely mean "People Eating Tasty Animals", don't you? Anyway, this is the way I address them in my "Fan mail".... :-)) Dan "Allen Epps" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Swiped from rec.hunting.
