Penns Green Drakes- Reported Early

This was posted on the PA Fly Fishers Message board.

as a person who doesnt beleive in hatches occuring early...hatches are
occuring early. last night, the 25th, the green drakes were blizzard
like in the ingleby section of penns. at this time the drakes are
usually just getting started below weikert. the fish actively fed on
dunns until about 8 pm at which time they switched over to something
else and after every fly in my box tied on....i still have no clue
what they were taking. i fished until 9:20...in case you arent aware,
that is way dark, and dunns were coming down the creek in rafts. it
was truely amazing. if things are anywhere close to normal, they wont
be there by the weekend or will be there in very short supply. if you
are headed there this weekend to look for the 1.5 inch mayflies, start
at coburn.
