What is even better news is that the Upper Yellowstone drainage has
41% snow pack (down from 42% yesterday), the Gallatin is at 60% (up
from 58% yesterday) and the Madison is at 75% (down from 77%
yesterday).

What is really sad is that the upper 19 miles of the Big Hole are
closed to fishing due to drought conditions as is the Red Rock
River. The Big Hole is the home of the last native population of
stream-dwelling grayling in the lower 48 states. May recent rains,
upper elevation snows and cool temps help those rivers recover,
especially the Big Hole.
