Salmon fishing near Charlevoix
 

I'm planning a trip to Charlevoix, MI in late-July. Is this a good
time for salmon fishing on Lake Michigan there? I've fished the more
southern parts of the lake before from New Buffalo, St. Joe,
Whitehall, etc., but I haven't been that far north before. I'm taking
the trip to Charlevoix for other reasons and my wife will be busy
doing the usual tourist stuff. I'm thinking that if the fishing is
good, I can take the boat along and avoid a day or two of shopping.
