Swannundaze--how named?
I recall reading (don't recall where) that the inventor of Swannundaze
named it for his two kids. Does the "und" in the middle imply it's a German invention? What were the kids' names? Is this just Urban Folklore? Thanks. vince |

According to Randall Kaufmann in his nymph tying book, "the name dates back to when the only plastic body material was Swannundaze." HTH Cheers, Bill |

Oops. I reread your post more carefully and now see that you were asking about the material, not the midge pattern. My fingers often work more quickly than my brain. Bill |

I've had that happen too many times while typing out posts to these NG's. Then Microsoft spell checker does the same exact thing. Go figure. |
