Shark fishing - Destin

I'll be vacationing in Destin in a few weeks and have this (stupid, I'm sure)
idea of chartering a boat to fish for shark, or other impressive mountable sea
creature. I've never fished for anything larger than bass before and will have
less than a full day to indulge this fantasy. I would appreciate any
information/advice from how to pick a reputable charter service to whether the
Destin area offers this kind of fishing. I'm afraid that I might be dreaming of
a multi-day, deep sea expedition which I just can't schedule, and if so I guess
I need to be told so.

Thanks,
Mark

You should be able to find shark off of Destin with little effort. I'm
not sure about mounting one. Be certain that you have a charter that
knows the rules as many shark species are protected (for good reason).

Before you kill the shark make sure you can afford to mount it; been a
while but I think prices can be from $3 - $4 an inch (more? less?). You
can actually get a good picture then have a replica mount made but these
are not cheap either.

An afternoon of fishing with a good charter should put you on sharks.

Good Fishin'
