Penn International Reel Questions

Your 940 will easily handle the fish you've listed, it's really a little
overkill for salmon. Your reel is used everyday on 6 ft plus sturgeon, in
heavy current, 3 lb weights, and 80 or heavier braid with no ill effects by
guides and knowledgable fisherman. The 310 or International 965 will handle
any striper or salmon easily.
Spend the money on getting out more, and have fun.
