Fly fishing around Felixstowe

Are there any areas suitable for fly fishing for bass or mackerel in
Felixstowe or along the neighbouring coast?

Thanks
Nigel

It's not something that's done a lot, but I think if you were to
investigate up the rivers a little way there could be some likely spots.
Try Levington Creek or some of the areas on Shotley side of the Stour
- I have heard of large bass being taken on spinning gear around here.
Also have a look around the Deben entrance.

Do you not think that the clarity of the water , because of the silt/sand
suspended, will be working against along that whole east anglian/essex/kent
coast line? Much better chance in clear water - though you might pick up a
mullet or two?
