: thanks in anticipation.

When you first get one, the tackle dealer will elasticate it for you
or you can do it yourself - the elastic goes through the top two or
three sections of the pole and is kept in place by a wedge shaped
bung.
At the end of it is a plastic fitting which is just tied onto the end
of the elastic, on the other end of it (which protudes out of the
sharp end of the pole!) is a hook which you atatch the rig to - it has
a plastic collar which slides down over the line to stop it coming
off -small picture he

Once your rig is attatched you just hook a lead plummet onto the hook
and check the depth in the exact spot where you intend to fish - this
is the beauty of the pole - it's precise...there's no slack line so
when a fish knocks or nibbles the bait it's hooked whereas with a rod,
you have to notice the knock and by the time you've taken up the slack
in the twenty yards of line the fish has long gone - set the float so
that the plummet is on the bottom and the float just shows on the
surface.
Also with the pole you can get small cups for pellets, maggots,
groundbait etc which places these goodies in the exact area of your
hookbait - the cupping kits just clip onto the pole, so your better
with a few top kits...set one up with your fishing rig on and the
other with the cup attached..see he
