What's all the fuss about? ;o)

Just been fishing for the first time ever, with a 4m whip that cost 6 euro
(approx £4 I think). Simple set up with one maggot.

Caught 25 Rudd in 1 hr....so what's the fuss about...this fishing lark is
easy! ;o)

LOL....however the OH is a specimen hunter so I _do_ totally understand the
traumas, stresses & organisation required to fish for the *big* one...
The whip was his idea. I fancied having a go at this fishing lark..but
didn't want to faff with reels etc. I suggested pole fishing, because it
looked dead simple. He bought me the whip..so I could get half an idea of
this 'pole' lark...the whip would be cheaper to discard if I decided I
didn't like this sport after all....

Can't imagine every fishing day will be as fruitful...but I enjoyed my first
time immensely nonetheless... ;o)

That would be easy to do at my OH's workplace...but I think my line etc
would take a bit of a bashing ;o)

I guess catching it would be easy...landing it would be the problem ;o))

LOL! Don't think I'll be devoting every waking hour to the sport just
yet...but enjoyed it enough to want to go again.

Last time I fished i was in a little row boat off the Devon coast with a
rusty spinner on an orange handline...caught loads of fish then too..;o)

Will admit now that i'll be a 'fair weather' angler though....

Easy...especially if you're not expecting the whole bagweight from *one*
fish... ;o)

Gladly went again last weekend. Caught s**t loads again ;o)...no pike
abusers this time, but lots of midges. ;o(

Took one of my dogs as company, and he was trying to snap at each fish as I
brought it in....his wish came true when I accidentally dropped one (butter
fingers), whereupon he legged it with his *treasure*, and chomped the
lot...(I did try and retrieve poor fish, but dog had been too efficient...)

So, lovely evening, lots of fish, and a dog with a full tum ;o)
