Tried at the wekend in a prolific carp water but nothing was
rising....it's usually about the end of May onwards that they feed on
the surface in any numbers - I'm not saying this doesn't vary, as it
does with temperature and location, but up here in sunny Lancs, it's
usually the end of May before they are feeding in sufficient numbers
to sneak a free meal off the top (and where I'm waiting with me
pocketful of Hovis and Pedigree Chum!)

surface.......that's in nottinghamshire by the way.

Also took two carp off the surface today on chum mixers...still a bit
early though - another few weeks will be better as the weeds will have
grown a bit.
