Alvingham fisheries.....a joke!!!!
 

I recently had the misfortune to go to this day-ticket.
It's a smallish pond, and talk about 'JOBSWORTH', about an hour into my carp
fishing, the guy came round and (a) Wanted to check everyones hooks, to see
if they were barbless...( Of Course they were, and forgivable..), but then
he decided on the very patronising move of telling me how to
fish....literally, taking the rod from my hands.....I'm 36 BTW....Just to
top it all off,.....I had caught a 3oz silver, and upon gently bringing the
fish to hand, I heard someone shout.."Hey-up mate....USE A LANDING NET"..the
fish was 4 inches long, and I was right next to the water, Well No need to
tell you where I WON'T be going again......My old boy was with me, and he
hasn't seen anything like this in 50 years of day-ticket fishing....and some
poor sod, about 50 years old, got a 'telling off' for accidentally using a
half-barb,(claimed he had no glasses with him), but with that approach, this
owner will lose punters, hand over fist.....New owners you see.....Too
eager,and too bloody arrogant, ..1 last thing, he thought it a good idea to
mow the grass on the first sunny day of thre year(last month), noise,and a
dog barking it's head off....Just what you want when fishing.....Ah
well......BE LUCKY.....Cod
