I've tried a few times to get a response about how these huge pits are
fishing, but never seem to have any replies re' the muskham pits..or the A1
pits as they are widely known....is 5, or 6 fishing well, and have the carp
been 'topping' ???
All the Best.....FRED

Dunno buddy but I fish a private lake not far from the A1 and the carp are
certainly on the surface. They took my dog biscuits no problems from the
surface when I wandered around the lake one afternoon last week. I visited
with rods in hand the next day and there they were....basking in all their
glory 6 or 7 at 15lb plus. But did they take my bait? Did they ****!

I fished 3 rods (2 for carp one in the margins and one on the bottom). I
caught 150+ roach and rudd (inc one small perch) over 8 hours but no
biggies.

Hi
Currently fishing better than it has ever done, pit 5 produced a 34 about 10
days ago, pit 6 has thrown up several high 20's. a mate had 5 fish smallest
14 upto 24 two of which were from the surface (in the small finger behind
the point in 6). The most encouraging thing about the place is that the fish
seem to be banging some weight on (now the bream have gone) even the small
fellas they introduced are growing.
Have a look at http://www.a1pits.com/

Hi,
Have a look at www.a1pits.com or speak to Mark Rudd on 07970 209433. They
have been showing themselves on the surface but getting to them on 6 can be
a problem you may find lake 3 better for surface fishing. If you do look on
lake 6 then both sides of the point or A1 Trent corner (cyanide bay as
known). Lake 5 is ok from the bottom road (furthest away from A1) but they
tend to show over 2 gravel humps at about 120yds so getting to them is a
challenge, i'll be down there later today for a night as I'm pre-baiting
ready for Wednesdays traditional assault on the Trent.
If you get bored there you can always drop on 4 and have yourself a huge bag
of bream (loads of 100-150lb sessions being reported)
Have fun!
