Stinking bait boxes
I went through my tackle yesterday doing the usual pre-season cleaning,
checking, re-spooling, re-tying (etc)... I noticed that my bait boxes have quite strong aroma to them and so left them soaking overnight, which seems to have done bugger all to alleviate things... Any suggestions?? (I'd rather not buy new ones, I like these, and they fit my bait waiter)... __ Matt |

If you do decide to use caustic, add cold water to the crystals and stand well back - it boils the water....mix it up in a deep bucket and add your baitboxes and lids and weigh them down with a brick so that everything is below the surface. You can use the remaining solution to clear your drains! |

Do you not use Tumeric to cover the maggots? Any suggestions?? Wash using bicarb of soda & use a small amount of tumeric in your maggots. |

Caustic soda is an Alkali. Any chemist will say this ... add the crystals to the water not the other way around. Likewise if using Acid A to W. You can use the remaining solution to clear your drains! And to dispose of dead bodies. |

The only human things it wont destroy is Hair (including nails) and Teeth. |
