Trout fishing near Cooperstown, NY????
 

I'll be spending a few days in Cooperstown and hope to get a few hours away
to do a little trout fishing in streams. Anyone know a good spot for a
quick visit? (Easy to find - public access - a few fish/hatches)

That's in the Catskills, isn't it? Where do I begin?

Yeah, it's in the Catskills, but that's a few hundred square miles. I fish
a lot in the Beaverkill, Willowemoc and the branches of the Delaware, but
the Cooperstown area is new to me. I don't think just anywhere in the
Catskills would work for me, considering I'll only have a couple of hours at
a time free for fishing.

There is a railroad company in Cooperstown with a receptionist that is
quite a handful! I used to......never mind!! Fish the lake.
