Battery Chargers...

I have a 24 volt system, my charger is a Guest 2611. On a recent trip,
my minnkota performed horribly. As the blood drained from my head I
thought the worst... The motor is dying... 3 yr old rt65ap... well
checked the battery connections... there ok... checked the fuses... oh
crap... how long have these been blown.... I charged my batteries in
the cellar 2 months ago, prior to installing em in the boat. probably
went out 4+ times batteries were pretty much dead from not being
charged due to the blown fuses. Well I fixed the issue and plugged in
the onboard 2611 at 7pm last night. Had the wife check the led's at
noon today, still red... How long is this suppose to stay red for? I
heard 5 hrs for a 60% drain roughly... Any ideas?

Check the fuses again. Something may be blowing them.

Have the batteries checked with a meter that puts them under load. I am
betting you need new batteries due to the 2 mos. they were down.

Found the culprit... Its me again..... Being a 24 volt system, 2 pairs
of leads... I had the wrong positive with the wrong negative....
Checked the fuses again, and all is charging well.... after 1- 2 hours
the red led stating bulk charge was joined by the green,
gree+red=absorbtion charge.... I'll check it in a little while the red
should turn off completely in a couple of hours. Thanks guys...
