mounting transducer
 

I'm hooking up my transom mount transducer for my Humminbird Matrix to
my trolling motor with a mounting bracket that I purchased from
Cabela's.
My question is should the transducer be really tight so there is no
swing movement in it? I have all the bolts tight but I could still
swing the transducer by hand if I use force.

It should be tight enough to stay in place under normal pressure but loose enough to move if it hits an obstruction. This should
help from breaking it off if you fish the stumps etc. on boom lake. :}~

The reason they're made that way Chris is so that if they take a jolt they
pivot rather than break, I'd loosen it a bit.
