Bristol Angling Centre

Visited yesterday for the first time for about 3 years.
What a disappointment, very poor selection of sea fishing gear, virtually no
boat rods and those that were on sale were duplicated to bulk out the
display.
Meagre selection of end tackle together with indifferent salesman.

I was hoping to buy a new 20Lb class rod but they only had one, not that any
salesman showed any interest in serving me. !!

I live approx 90 miles from the sea and marriage and subsequent baby
curtailed my fishing for a couple of years, I made the 2.5 hour round trip
to Bristol hoping to restock my tackle box and look at new tackle - looks as
though it will be Veals mail order for me in future.

PS if you a re a Carp angler then go to Bristol Angling Centre - it would
seem to be their only interest...

Ebay is your friend (with due caution)

Just bought a brand new 10-20lb Daiwa 7' Beefstick boatrod, 12 months
no-quibble guarantee, for £17.50 plus £3.50 P&P - even got to Christen it
yesterday out of West Bay with some very nice fish indeed!

I always look on Ebay first whenever I want something, no matter what it is
I'm looking for - clothes, car parts, plants, items for the home, fishing
gear
etc, etc, etc - And no long car journeys either!

As a customer of Bristol Angling Centre for the last fifteen years I feel I
have to say
although I agree sea tackle has been reduced in line with demaned,
You can always order rods & reels to collect or be posted,
As for end tackle stocks do fluctuate all I can say is you must have gone in
before a restock
because it was packed out on Saturday.
May I also say I have never found the staff indifferent in fact they have
always been polite and
helpful and very social, sorry you had a bad experience as it is not a bad
shop once in three years
does not give you much to compair it with,
Im now off to B,A,C, for a coffee and some fishing talk.

Steve....A satisfied customer,,,
