Fishing the jumps

I've been a lurker here for quite a while and thought I'd share my outing
with yall. I was fishing Percy Priest Lake in Nashville Wednesday night
with a buddy and had a heckuva time catching smallmouth and Kentucky bass in
the jumps. It was incredible ....we would wait til we saw a wad of baitfish
on the surface and would cast into the mess and were pulling bass out of the
water like crazy! First time I've had success catching them this way.

Priest is my home lake mj... what part of the lake were you fishing? The
jumps can be great early in the morning, and you never know when the
occasional striper will take your bait!

Charles, my buddy and I were in the Seven Points area. He actually called it
Skeeter Point. It was a blast!

I can relate to the skeeters!

Seven Points is always a good area for bass and stripers. My largest PP bass
(5.9lbs) was caught in that area and I've seen several others come from
there that was larger than that. Mostly in the early spring though.

That's the Suggs Creek area Josh. I think you took me up there that time you
taught me how to fish the Fluke.

We ran up Suggs to the bridge and fished that gar infested water. Remember?
I do, you had that Champion on plane doing about 50mph in less that 2.5' of
water! Scared me to death! LOL
