Summertime Trout
I have found a few lakes close by my home in Washington State that I have
fished for Trout in the spring and have done fairly well on flies. Now that the summer heat is upon us, have not had any luck at all. My guess is that the fish (Rainbow, Brook & Kokanee) have moved to deeper water. Now that I have some access with my float tube to get out from shore, looking for some advice as what will tempt them to bite and what techniques to use. I have tried some small Dick Nights with a split shot 18" in front to no avail. Would some Crappie Jigs work? Any suggestions besides dynamite or waiting until the fall? Thanks, Rick |
