Need Hlp New to fly finshin
Hi all,
I need some help. I ma new to fly fishing and as yet have not been successful in landing a fish. A friend of mine told me that I should keep practicing and suggested that I obtain a "bread Fly" and practice on mullet in a local river. I went to several tackle shops and not one could sell me a bread fly or even tell me what one looks like. Does anyone in this group have a picture of one of these flies they could send me and any information on what is involved in tying one would be helpful. Awaiting your reply. Cragels |

A friend of mine told me that I should keep practicing and suggested that I obtain a "bread Fly" and practice on mullet in a local river. We need more details, e.g. 1. Do you need help landing a fish you have hooked or do you need help gettting a fish to take your fly? 2. Tell us what species are availalble, freshwater or salt, what leader and fly you usually use, floating or sinking line etc. 3. European anglers say (European) mullet are exceptionally difficult to hook. They are sal****er estuary fish, largely vegetarian I think. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |
