fly rod care

My better St. Croix rods each came with a small container that has
paraffin for the rod ferules. The instructions with the rod says to
put some on the ferule every so often and insert the ferules...

Leaky wader question

I'm no expert on waders, but my fly fishing group had a wader expert
talk at a meeting. He said that filling waders with water and lifting
them up stresses the seams and causes leaks. Makes sense,...

Rubber legs, the most irritating material

This technic is not perfect but it works better than letting the legs
flop around in the way. Leave the legs long when tying them in and
use a clip to gather the free ends together and hold them out...

line cleaning

What do you folks use for cleaning fly line? What type of cleaner? Do
you use a line winder?
