I have just been reading an interesting article on how Triploid trout
are reared. My question is why are they reared? Surely it would be
more productive to rear Trout that can reproduce ?

I was diving in Wast Water, Wasdale, Cumbria and found thousands of
weird bright white eels about a foot to a foot and a half long. Twas a
night dive and our approaching torches made the eels stick...
