Default Tubes and Jig 'n Pigs

Big fat black tubes w/red flakes. I've been rigging fat tubes with a bullitt
weight & a extra wide gap (EWG) 2/0 or 3/0 hook. I push the debarbed hook &
compleatly through the tube & let it lie on on the surface of the tube. If
weeds are a problem I then prick the hook point into the plastic, ever so
lightly . I fish a shllow rocky river & I hang up less & land more
smallmouth's. I don't use weighted hooks anymore for tube fishing. I use the
same rig for worm fishing & the same hook on plastic jerk baits, (Zoom
Fluke).
As for jig 'n pig I'd use black or black/blue. I havent found a way to use
a jig 'n pig barbless as the smallies will toss the jig back at you . I
pinch the barb down but not compleatly. But most of my jigging is done with
barbless tubes.

I realize differnet conditions can determine what colors to use. But,
overall, if you could have only one color for your tubes and jig 'n pig,
what color would it be?

If I could have only one color for any lure it would be some combination

of
black and chartruse. Red shad is probably my second favorite color

pattern.
However, on sunny days in clear water, I preferr more natural colors.
