I've got the25th off, and could likely find some time that weekend
as well. I fish the C&R area in the Willi fairly often. Include me
in, if y'all get anything going. Only word of caution....we appear
to still be in full winter mode here, so the day may be better
spent at the pizza shop.

"I fish the C&R area in the Willi"? The images that almost brings
to mind....

But back to a more pertinent note. Seeing as its full-on winter still
in the NorthEast, what's the odds that it will be open water in 4
weeks? I know that in a usual mid-Maine winter, we don't usually
count on spring thaw until early April, but I don't know about
Connecticut winters, and I have no instinct at all about this
particular winter.
If Ye Old Farmer's Almanac and local wisdom say that its probably
still going to be a deep freeze by then, I might make better use of
my limited time to get my business done in Maine, and drive down to
the DC area to visit my Dear Ol' Mom, and leave a few days open to
fish with the more southernly boys. Not to insult my Yankee
bretheren, but if the water ain't open, it might might be hard
fishing, and I only have a limited time.
Any guesses at what the situation will be there in mid March?

Sunny and warm, 59 degrees, with a 50/50 chance of blizzard. If by
"southern boys" you mean from here to DC, their forecast is sunny and
warm, 59 degrees, with a 50/50 chance of blizzard.
