To me, it appears that the domain name registration expired. Once that
happens, the domain host stops broadcasting the IP address RichZ supplied as
being associated with bassdozer.com. This, in turn, causes all of the core
routers on the Internet to drop the route (e.g. bassdozer.com -
207.36.223.111) and people attempting to navigate to bassdozer.com will fail
to get there; if you happened to know the IP address, as RichZ did in this
instance, you'll still be able to get to the site.
The "whois" records indicate that the domain record was updated today. I
assume that the domain was reregister and the record updated. It usually
takes a couple of days for core Internet routers to update their DNS at
which time traffic will start routing properly again. Some may be able to
find the site today while others may need to wait a few days. The IP
address, however, will nearly always work in these situations.
And that, in a nutshell, is a bunch of crapola you probably didn't want to
know.

Does anyone happen to know what has happened to the BassDozer site?
His ISP seems to have a problem with the DNS network.
Try http://207.36.223.111/
